About The Flipped Classroom
What Is a Flipped Classroom?
This model of learning requires you, the learner, to engage with foundational knowledge and skill building outside of the classroom through presentations, videos, and downloaded worksheets. This way, when you enter the studio, you can devote the entire time to developing your art.
What Is Expected Of Me?
Each week there will be introductory videos and sketchbook exercises that must be completed before your studio time. These videos and exercises will introduce you to the vocabulary, media, and techniques you will be using during your studio time. Developing your technqiue and using media in a sketchbook ahead of time will improve your art projects each week.
How Am I Graded?
Each week you will complete and submit an art project and artist statement that will exhibit your knowledge of the media, techniques, and understanding of the elements and principles of art we learned about. Each project will have a rubric to download ahead of time so you will know exactly how to be successful.
