Getting Started - Everything You Need to Know Before Class Starts
Before we start class, make sure you review the best practices for completing art at home!
Week 1
Our first week we will be exploring Line and Emphasis through the use of Watercolors! Even better is I will be learning right alongside you!
Week 3
Week 3 we will be exploring the basics of color theory, unity, and harmony in some fun watercolor tutorials! Our studio project will push us to create four compositions that work together as one exhibit. Let's go!
Week 4
Week 4 we are going to be starting with oil paints! We will explore balance and symmetry through the use of tessellation shapes!
Week 5 and 6
We are going to dive into some technical painting with value and form this week and next! Weeks 5 and 6 are going to be a more relaxed pace and we will be spending more time together on techniques during our studio time. Grab your oil paints and sketchbooks!
Week 7
This week you will get to choose whether you use oil paints or acrylic. We will still use only black and white as we wrap up value. Find a great photo of yourself and let's do a grid drawing!
Week 8
For the rest of this class we will be using acrylics and exploring color! Let's add to our knowledge of value this week by introducing color.
